"Little Girl Blue Remixed" presenteert een boeiende herinterpretatie van Nina Simone's legendarische debuutalbum uit 1958, "Little Girl Blue", in een remixeditie uit 2015. Oorspronkelijk uitgebracht door Bethlehem Records, een label dat bekend staat om het introduceren van baanbrekende debuutalbums van jazzsterren als Carmen McRae, Chris Connor, Herbie Mann en Johnny Hartman.

DJ Maestro, gegrepen door enthousiasme, begon aan de remix-onderneming en nodigde enkele van zijn favoriete producers uit om hun krachten te bundelen, waaronder Mop Mop, Renegades of Jazz, Gramophonedzie, Fab Samperi, The Reflex en Mees Dierdorp. Elke producer bracht zijn unieke tintje mee, gedreven door de gedeelde opwinding van het werken met de originele opnames van dit iconische album. Het resultaat is een verzameling van 14 remixen, die elk een onderscheidend perspectief op de originele nummers bieden en tegelijkertijd een eigentijdse sfeer uitstralen.
